Haha! Just thinking about a warm, sunny spring day with the windows open makes me giddy. We seriously can’t think of anything more pleasant than a clean house, lemon essential oil diffusing, a breeze blowing through the house, and kids playing around outside. Ok, we just painted a picture of perfection, not reality.

We absolutely love diffusing for the season, and unless we need an essential oil blend for mood support, seasonal blends are exactly what you will find in our diffusers.

Give me all the wild orange and clove during the fall, all the peppermint and cinnamon during Christmas time, and bright, cheery summer oil blends. Today, we will share a few of our favorite essential oils to diffuse during the spring.

Tips for Diffusing Oils

  • Don’t forget to keep your diffuser clean to prevent mold and bacteria from growing in it! You can learn how to clean a diffuser in our tutorial.
  • Making diffuser blends doesn’t have to be exact! We rarely follow a recipe and love to experiment with different additions, so feel free to be creative with it.
  • If you have pets, it’s a good idea to do a little research before diffusing oils around them. Always leave doors open so they have an option to leave the room if the smell is too much.
  • If you don’t have one of the oils listed in a blend, you can simply omit it or substitute something else.

Best Essential Oils for Spring

As you can see, we stick to a lot of citrus and floral oils during the springtime. They are uplifting, bright, and just smell like spring! Here are our favorite oils to include in our springtime essential oil blends:

Citrus Essential Oils

Nothing says clean like citrus essential oils. As soon as we start cleaning the house, we will throw a few drops of lemon or another citrus oil in the diffuser.

We like to make all our own homemade cleaning products, but we do miss the fresh lemony smell that commercial cleaners often have. Luckily, citrus essential oils in the diffuser are even better!

Great citrus oils to diffuse include lemon, lemongrass, wild orange, lime, and grapefruit.

Floral Essential Oils

Everyone wants a lovely-smelling house. If you aren’t sure where to start, grab a floral oil or two and drop it in a diffuser. This will make your house smell beautiful without the use of artificial fragrance.

We particularly love lavender, Roman chamomile, jasmine, and rose.
